Beyond the Treeline is a monthly series maintained by Apanthropy.org editor Andrew Krause, in which the underground extreme music scene is examined and curated.

Volume II went a lot smoother in terms of technical bullshit with the recording and editing process. We managed to showcase 14 exceptional releases that appeared in August 2026 that didn’t necessarily get the same level of exposure as some of the larger names did that month.

I have leveled up both mumbling and mispronouncing band names. We’ll probably invest more skill points into those disciplines in the following months…
