n. 1. An aversion to the company of men; a love of solitude.
Apanthropy started in 2017 as an independent blog that covered releases out of the editor’s personal record collection.
In 2024, Apanthropy evolved in a full website, with an ecosystem and review base sustained through independent bands, PR firms, and record labels.
As of 2026, Apanthropy.org is now part of the larger Apanthropy Media network, an LLC that exists to serve as a living archive and an organization capable of financially backing and putting on shows.
Apanthropy’s presence is organic, we have never paid for promotion, and you won’t find us selling ourselves to the general music public. We are not the biggest publication. We are not here to grow with the industry.
We are here to outlast it.
